Rental Terms and Conditions

By accessing this website, we assume you accept these terms and conditions. A customer placing an order on OnRent's Website (www.onrent.store) or through an online order form agrees to abide by the following terms and conditions:
1. Rental Contract:
By renting a product from ONRENT, the customer agrees to abide by all terms and conditions outlined in this agreement. The rental contract becomes active upon successful payment and remains valid until the rental period ends and the product is returned in its original condition. The customer acknowledges that the rented product remains the property of ONRENT at all times.
2. Tenure of Contract:
The rental period begins on the scheduled delivery date and ends on the agreed return date. Extensions are subject to availability and must be requested at least 24 hours before the rental period ends. Failure to return the product on time may result in additional rental charges or penalties. If the customer fails to return the product within 48 hours of the agreed return date without prior notice, ONRENT reserves the right to take legal action and recover the product.
3. Payment Policy:
Full payment must be made in advance to confirm the booking. No order will be processed without complete payment. ONRENT accepts online payments via UPI, bank transfer, and other accepted payment methods. Any additional charges incurred during the rental period, such as late fees or damages, must be cleared before returning the product. Failure to make the necessary payments may result in legal action.
4. Delivery & Pickup Policy:
Delivery and pickup services will be provided by ONRENT within Kolkata Municipal Limits. Delivery charges may vary based on the location and will be communicated at the time of booking. Customers must be present at the delivery address to receive the product. At the end of the rental period, the product must be returned in its original condition to the designated pickup personnel. If the customer is not available at the agreed pickup time, an additional pickup charge may be applied.
The delivery and pickup will be done by a 3rd party courier partners who will only deliver the product and not perform any other task. ONRENT does a thorough quality check before delivery. The customer is also expected to see if there any damages and report the same to ONRENT within 2 hours of receiving the product so that an exchange may be arranged. Once the delivery is complete, no requests for refunds shall be entertained.
In case the customer wants to return the product earlier, before the end of the tenure, there will be no refund of the rental amount collected, whatsoever. In case the customer wants to extend the tenure, the same can be done based on the availability of the product and at the discretion of ONRENT.
5. Verification Policy:
To ensure safety & security of the products rented out by ONRENT, customers must complete a verification process as set by the company. The order will be confirmed only once the verification is approved.
The following documents may be required for verification:
• Identity Verification – Aadhar Card/ Driving License/ Passport
• Occupation Verification – Official email/Employee Card/School/College ID Card
• Pan Verification – Pan Card
• Address Verification – Rental Agreement (Notarised)/ Passport/ Electricity/ Utility Bill
ONRENT reserves the right to verify the authenticity of the provided documents. The customer must ensure that the details provided match the delivery address. Failure to comply may result in booking cancellation.
6. Damage Policy:
Customers are responsible for the safe handling and proper use of the rented. In case of any damage or missing product(s), ONRENT will inform the customer of the same upon receiving back the product. The customer agrees to pay for any damage to, loss of, or any theft (disappearance) of items, regardless of cause or fault. Any physical damage, tampering, or missing accessories (controllers, cables, etc.) will result in additional charges based on the extent of the damage. If the product is found to be severely damaged or non-functional due to mishandling, the customer may be required to pay the full replacement cost. Minor scratches or normal wear and tear are acceptable. Customers must not attempt to repair or modify the product, as this will void the rental agreement, and full charges may be applied.
Repairable Damage:
Actual Repair Cost + Rs. 350 (to cover necessary conveyance charges)
Irreparable Damage:
70-90% of the product’s current retail price.
Loss or Theft:
70-90% of the product’s current retail price.
7. Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Once the payment is made, cancellation is not allowed, and no refunds will be issued. Customers are advised to review their booking details before making payment. In case of any service issues from ONRENT’s side, resolutions will be provided at ONRENT’s discretion. If the customer fails to accept the delivery without prior notice, no refund will be issued.

8. Data Policy:
ONRENT does not store or share any personal data provided by customers beyond what is necessary for verification and rental purposes. Customers are advised to log out of all accounts before returning the PS5. ONRENT is not responsible for any saved personal data on the product after the rental period. Customers should reset the product to factory settings before returning if they have used personal accounts.
9. Governing Law (Kolkata Jurisdiction):
All rental agreements are governed by the laws of Kolkata, West Bengal. Customers agree to comply with all legal obligations related to the rental service. Any misuse of the rented product or violation of the rental terms may result in legal consequences.
10. Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution:
ONRENT reserves the right to take necessary legal action in case of fraudulent activities. Customers agree to cooperate with ONRENT in case of any disputes regarding payments, damages, or other rental related issues. In case of any disputes, efforts will first be made to resolve them amicably. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Kolkata, West Bengal. The courts of Kolkata, India shall have the sole and exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any matters which may be instituted before any court of law, arising from the use of rental services offered by ONRENT.
